ATLANTA, April 1, 2019— Kids II welcomes Adam Cahan to its business advisory board. Based in San Francisco, Cahan currently serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence splitting his time between Lightspeed Ventures, and Lux Capital where he is advising and developing opportunities in early stage technology companies. He joins the Kids II board to provide guidance as the company strengthens and grows its technology roadmap.

“Adam is a perfect fit to guide us to the next level in media and tech-enabled products as we continue to diversify and think about how to best deliver holistic solutions for parents,” said Ryan Gunnigle, CEO of Kids II. “It’s important to find advisors who understand our culture, support our vision, and bring deep experience in key growth areas. Adam is just that.”

Cahan’s background spans more than 20 years of experience in technology, media, and telecommunications. Adam was most recently Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering for Yahoo under Marissa Mayer. In this role, he oversaw product development, design, and engineering with P&L responsibilities for Yahoo’s global mobile efforts, video, and emerging products. During his tenure at Yahoo, Adam grew Yahoo’s mobile reach from 150M monthly active users to over 800M monthly active users, from less than $11M in mobile revenues to over $1.8B (2017), winning back-to-back Apple Design awards and scaling his team from less than 50 engineers to 800+ worldwide. Adam was also the leader on the first ever global live stream of an NFL game amassing a global audience of 15 million viewers. While managing video at Yahoo, he grew year on year revenues by 65 percent to $375M.

Cahan currently serves as a Director on the Supervisory Board for ProSiebenSat.1, one of Europe’s (Germany) largest public media companies. He also holds several patents, has an undergraduate degree from Brown University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors. He is trilingual in French, Spanish, and English and enjoys kitesurfing and traveling.
