Matt Smith is the General Counsel for Kids2, Inc., leading all legal and compliance functions and serves as a trusted advisor to company leadership.
Prior to joining Kids2, Smith served as SVP & General Counsel at Innovolt where he led all legal and administrative functions. While at Innovolt, Smith drove the market development function for key new verticals and led all financing initiatives, including debt and equity rounds.
Smith also served as SVP, General Counsel and Secretary at Comverge for eight years taking the company public in 2007 while driving all legal, regulatory, and compliance initiatives.
Previously, Smith served as an Attorney at King & Spalding and was a law clerk for Honorable H. Emory Widener, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Smith received both his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and his Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
