ATLANTA, Nov. 28, 2018— As part of the global infant and toddler toy and gear company’s transition from a traditional selling organization to one focused on integrated customer partnerships, Kids II, Inc.® recently expanded its global sales team and created a new role of SVP Customer & Strategic Partnerships.
“With these new leadership changes, along with other sales structure shifts, we have positioned our sales organization with the resources and capabilities to leverage our competitive advantages and bring about accelerated growth,” said Dave Calhoun, Kids II President.
Karen Neblett is transitioning to the new SVP Customer & Strategic Partnerships role to further develop long-term strategic relationships with Kids II’s global accounts and ecosystem partners. In that capacity, she will bring the partners’ points of view, insights, and voice inside Kids II as they co-create new solutions for families. Neblett will also drive strategy, development, and execution of our Kids II experiences, events, and key trade shows. She has served 18 years with the company in a variety of sales and marketing roles, most recently as EVP Global Sales.
“Over nearly two decades with Kids II, Karen has played a vital role in our growth,” Calhoun continued. “She has deep market knowledge, a strategic approach, and a passion for building customer relationships that will help us build partnerships that will bring our consumer experience to the next level.”
Taking on the role of EVP Global Sales, Steve Capitani is responsible for sales strategy, sales planning and operations, sales execution and sales results.
“Steve’s track record of results, hands-on experience in multiple aspects of sales, and his high energy are all an excellent fit for the Kids II role,” said Calhoun.
Capitani has a long history of serving customer needs and building organizational capability to help drive growth. He started his career with the Chocolate division at Mars, Inc. in sales planning and moved into Petcare where he held senior leadership roles in national account management, category leadership, and strategy development, both globally and domestically. Throughout his career, Capitani has consistently demonstrated a strong track record for finding opportunities and solutions for customers that are data-driven, consumer-led, and mutually beneficial.
